For Local Community Organizations

Even after covering 585 CSA households and 6 retail markets, we have more gorgeous Spring produce than we can distribute.
We don't want these veggies to go to waste, so we're trying something new: if we can find partners who are willing to help us cover the bare minimum labor cost, we will harvest, wash, pack, and distribute them to these local organizations:
--Cultivate Charlottesville
--Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry
--Joy Menagerie
--By God's Grace Ministry (Buckingham Co.)
and more if we can find them!
We're including eggs in this donation drive, too! Since these items are fresh, time is of the essence. You can 'buy a bushel' below the wholesale rate NOW and we will distribute this week and next. Each of our large green bins is 1 and 3/4 bushels, so you can get a sense of the volume.
We're excited about this idea, and we hope to use this model again in the future to get fresh produce into local households and not in the compost!
